  DOM MANUEL’S ESTATE QUEEN AUGUSTA HAS LIFE INTEREST Lisbon, Sunday. An official summary of the main details of the will of the late Dom Manuel of Portugal is published to-day in the Lisbon newspapers. By a will dated Sept. 20, 1915, Dom Manuel left to his widow, Queen Augusta Victoria, the use of his private fortune during her lifetime, together with his valuable collections of books and works of art. On her death they will become the property of the Portuguese nation. A museum will be formed in the Casa Braganza, which, until the Revolution, was the Royal Palace. Property in Oporto which belonged to the late King will become a hospital. The omission from the will of any mention of the treasures now in the Casa Braganza itself is thought to be a proof that Dom Manuel recognized a distinction between his private property and that of the Braganza dynasty. Administrators of the late King’s affairs abroad are the British banking house, Coutts and Co., and Viscount Asseca.
